Introducing Precise 8.7

Precise 8.7 brings Transaction Performance Management (TPM) to more of the complex components in your growing datacenter, including EMC, SAP and composite applications. Integrated into Precise's consolidated Performance Management Database (PMDB™), this new information allows an unparalleled view of performance for your most critical business transactions.

With Precise 8.7, we've also increased visibility into the users and locations accessing your critical applications, making it even easier to determine the scope and impact of service level violations. This business-centric view of application performance brings immediate value to the Line of Business Manager, IT Operations, Application Support, and subject matter experts alike.

TPM for EMC

By continually monitoring storage access patterns for business transactions and applications, Precise 8.7 enables more efficient tiering policies by giving you visibility into more than just I/O's per second. Precise for Storage tiering:

  • identifies high (or low) priority data to allow tiering decisions based on business impact
  • predicts the business performance impact of a migration before moving any data
  • integrates with EMC FAST to automate tiering based on business value
  • supports Oracle ASM environments
  • provides automated recommendations to improve overall storage performance.

TPM for SAP
