Sybase

“Using [Precise] i3 in the test and user acceptance phase of a new application, we can base line performance before we release it, and pick up any problems. This ensures Casema adheres strictly to the service levels we have agreed to with our business units.”

Precise for Databases

Precise for DB2

Precise for DB2 monitors very large UDB environments with hundreds of database instances and partitions, merging and comparing performance data from all monitored instances to quickly isolate bottlenecks in a clustered environment. It correlates SQL statements visible within the database tier to transactions executed on top of the WebSphere and Apache Servers.

Precise for MSSQL

Precise for Microsoft SQL Server correlates SQL statements visible within the database tier to transactions executed on top of MS Sharepoint Server, .NET applications, and other applications running on the IIS server. It monitors individual SQL statements and breaks down the performance of stored procedures written in T-SQL or C#.

Precise for Oracle

Precise for Oracle monitors RAC environments and merges and compares performance data from the different RAC instances to quickly isolate bottlenecks in a clustered environment. It correlates SQL statements visible within the database tier to transactions executed on top of Oracle E-Business suite.

Precise for Sybase

Precise for Sybase correlates SQL statements visible within the database tier to transactions executed on top of applications such as internet banking, securities trade processing, and similar financial applications, or on packaged applications such as PeopleSoft. It monitors individual SQL statements and breaks down the performance of SQL statements running within batches. It's broad set of domain-specific knowledge allows:

  • Quick detection of Replication Server latency problems
  • Root-cause drill down to the specific object or objects that are causing latency during the replication process due to Locks, high I/O, or high-latency statements
  • Identification of poor-performing statements or batches along with recommendations for tuning for better performance
  • I/O wait analysis to determine root cause
