Redwood Shores, Calif. - June 16, 2009 - Precise today announces a new study on SAP performance, conducted by Dimensional Research. The findings reveal 90 percent of SAP users report monthly performance issues with SAP applications, and more than half cite three or more incidents a month. Most (80 percent) respondents agree that poor performance can significantly impact the business.
Nearly 700 IT and business professionals participated in the survey at the recent SAP SAPPHIRE conference. Findings include ongoing, unresolved performance issues for 39 percent of respondents, with the highest concentration reported in SAP business intelligence (BI) and SAP enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementations.
“The research clearly shows a surprising number of SAP deployments suffer from performance issues,” explained Diane Hagglund, senior research analyst for Dimensional Research. “The respondents told us they have no clear way to diagnose where those problems originate and as a result are spending days, and even weeks chasing the root cause of performance degradation.”
